Description

Are you a high school or college student interested in design, tech, or entrepreneurship? The Tech and Innovation Internship is a PAID opportunity that helps you learn how to bring an idea to life and create a real business! This experience goes beyond traditional internships, spend the summer with your peers working in teams and connecting with mentors that will teach you how to build a startup. You will also develop your problem-solving skills, gain hands-on experience in product development, UI/UX design, or software development, network with local tech experts, visit the offices of industry partners, and more!

Who can apply for the program?
The program is open to high school (11th and 12th grade) and college students in the Philadelphia area who have an interest in the tech and innovation space.


When do applications open?
2024 summer internship applications have now closed.

When is the internship held?
This is a 10-week internship program. The college cohort runs from early June to early August and the high school cohort running from mid June to early August.

Will the internship be in-person or virtual?
This hybrid program is mostly remote with weekly in-person work days and occasional events. There will be several in-person site visits and virtual workshops throughout the program with industry partners and mentors.


What positions are available?
The internship includes three different positions: Product Manager, Web Developer, and UI/UX Designer.

Do you need previous experience to apply?
There is no required technical knowledge for the internship. Our most successful candidates are curious, self-motivated individuals who are willing to think creatively and continuously improve.

Is there a cost for enrollment?
No, CBK programs are free for all participants. The Tech & Innovation Internship is a PAID position. Interns will receive $500 per week.
