Our coding and entrepreneurship class, Intro to Innovation, follows a project-based learning curriculum designed to expose students to foundational content in web design, problem-solving, and business creation. This 36-hour course covers essential aspects of developing a startup business idea, including building a website to showcase the concept.

Description

CBK Classroom follows a project-based learning curriculum that introduces students to key topics such as web design, problem-solving, business creation and more. Intro to Innovation is a 36-hour course and covers web development essentials, UI/UX skills, problem identification and validation, solution ideation, and the pathway to becoming a startup founder. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to develop a startup business idea and create a pitch deck for their venture. Additionally, they will design and build their own responsive website to showcase their startup.

What You'll Learn

•   How to use Figma to design a webpage
•   Programming Languages: HTML and CSS
•   How to code your own webpage from scratch

Who this Course is For

•   Students in middle school (6th - 8th grade) and high school (9th - 12th grade)
•   This course is for beginners, newbies & amateurs in the field of innovation.

Schedule/Important Dates

This spring, we are offering two classes of Intro to Innovation from February 20th to May 23rd, 2024.

Registration for the spring classes are now closed.

For Middle School Students
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm

For High School Students
Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 - 6:00 pm
